Our Vision

The mission of IMANI Community Development Corporation is to improve the lives of the citizens in our community, on the South Side of Chicago, by providing a holistic approach to servicing the needs of the entire family. We provide services and programs addressing specific challenges of the community, resulting in healing many of the economic, spiritual, social and emotional needs.

IMANI was organized in 2001 and since inception has focused efforts in three main programmatic areas: Youth Mentor-ship, After-school and Summer Youth Programming, and Food distribution. We also offer various auxiliary programming such as C.E.D.A .(utility bill assistance), P.P.E. distribution (masks, face shields, hand sanitizer, etc.), Community Development , Toy Distribution and any other resources that we acquire that can improve the lives of our neighbors.

Our motto is “Bringing Love, Respect, and Hope back into the neighborhood by Providing Resources to empower our people.”

In the upcoming years, we are looking to acquire facilities that will house each of our dynamic programs. This will afford us the opportunity to expand our resources and impact more lives. We are working tirelessly in this endeavor. We are excited about connecting with future partners and supporters.
